Description: Dancing with swords is a fun and important part of the Vintage Orientale style of Bellydance. In this 14 week class we will explore movement vocabulary, work on drills and improv skills by working on two different choreographies.

The Studio has a few swords to share on a first come, first serve availability and swords can also be purchased online - ask Barb for details.

Performance opportunities: Students will be given opportunities to perform either the improvisation skills and/or the choreography learned in class at the Student Showcase & Haflah party that will be held at the end of the Winter session as well as at the Year End Recital hosted by Danceast that takes place in June. The details for performances will be shared at a later date.

Pre-requisite: A student must complete an Introduction to Bellydance class at Studio Sephira or the equivalent with another Bellydance teacher.

Storm cancellation policy: In case of inclement weather, dates for replacement classes will be announced soon.
