Description: If you have taken an Introduction to Bellydance class anytime in the past few years and want to work on fully embodying the fundamentals then this is the class for you! This class is structured to help you continue learning at your own pace in a safe and fun atmosphere alongside other great women while exploring the art form. In these 14-week mixed-level Continuing Fun(damentals) classes, a student builds on her movement vocabulary while working on skills that will help develop her abilities with improvisation and choreography. As always, historical & cultural information about the art form will be shared during the session and, if the need arises, we will dance together in a bilingual class.
Performance opportunities: Students will be given opportunities to perform either the improvisation skills and/or the choreography learned in class at the Student Showcase & Haflah party that will be held at the end of the Winter session as well as at the Year End Recital hosted by Danceast that takes place in June. The details for performances will be shared at a later date.
Pre-requisites: A student must complete an Introduction to Bellydance class at Studio Sephira or the equivalent with another Bellydance teacher.
Storm cancellation policy: In case of inclement weather, dates for replacement classes will be announced soon.
